The Sumter County Sheriff's Office Benevolent Fund was established in 2009. The purpose of the Sumter County Sheriff's Office Benevolent Fund is to raise funds to support numerous charitable causes and youth organizations.
In 2017, the Sumter County Sheriff's Office Benevolent Fund raised over $89,000. Those funds supported programs such as Kids, Cops & Christmas, The Florida Sheriff Youth Ranch, scholarships, youth program sponsorships, summer camp programs and more.
We have two major fundraisers to support our causes; the first is Sheriff Bill Farmer's Charity Golf Tournament. The Golf Tournament is celebrating its 20th year this summer of 2018. In 2017, the Golf Tournament raised over $37,000. For more information about the golf tournament, please contact Theresa Cooper 352-689-4604 or review the forms below.
The second large fundraiser is Derby Day. This year will be our 3rd annual Derby Day event. Derby Day exclusively raises funds to support the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranches. In 2017, Derby Day raised over $23,000 to support the Florida Sheriff Youth Ranches. For more information about Derby Day or to get involved please contact Beth Hunt 352-569-1698 or review the forms below.
